BIO
Molly Aisha is a Leeds based alternative pop artist with a knack for passionate songwriting. Originally from York, she began her songwriting journey at just twelve years old with teenage performances at York Barbican, Fulford Arms and York Pride BBC stage, her voice being described as 'ethereal' by The Blowdown. Influenced by the likes of Birdy and London Grammar, her dreamy music has resonated with listeners and laid the foundation for her future success.
Molly began releasing music in 2021, starting with her debut single ‘Lose My Mind’. She later released ‘Mayhem’ in early 2022 which garnered attention with Local Sound Focus who reviewed it as ‘a song that will drag your heart through the mill of heartbreak’. Her most recent single ‘Ride This Out With Me’ exemplifies her musicality, Pop Passion Blog describing her vocals as 'rich' and 'breathtaking'.
In 2023, Molly’s dedication and originality led her to perform at Headrow House for International Women's Day. This event showcased her commitment to empowering women through her music, a mission that would continue to define her career. With a devotion to honing her craft, she recently achieved a first-class songwriting degree from Leeds Conservatoire, and was granted the honour of opening the main stage at Underneath the Stars Festival to represent them shortly after. Molly is poised to continue captivating audiences with her music, drawing inspiration from her idols and forging a unique path of her own.
